A strange thing happened in the playground...

Mrs Wilson was on duty in the playground when she saw a very strange thing...

A HUGE group of students worked together and made a 'stack of kids' on the slide! It was amazing!

Everyone was having such a fun time! People were being careful of each other, too, which was great.

Children involved in this group were practicing the key competencies of...

...relating to others - by listening to others and sharing ideas to make it work
...participating and contributing - by taking part in the activity with others
...managing self - by having a 'we can do it' attitude, by being patient and waiting for their turn to join the 'stack'
...and thinking - by making decisions about how to maintain safety for themselves and other people

WOW - who knew there was such a lot to be learned from joining in this type of activity!
Well done, everyone!

We are so popular!

Well, if you follow our blog, you will know how awesome we are and how excited we get when another special student joins our class team.

You won't be surprised to hear we have another GREAT person who has joined us in Weka.

She is a fabulous learner and really enjoys drawing amazing things on the whiteboards.

Welcome to Weka!

Football games...

The big children at our school have been learning some new football skills with some special 'Football in Schools' coaches.

There was not enough time available for all the classes to spend time with the visiting coaches, but Weka and Tui had the next best thing - the children from Kereru spent time sharing what they had learned with us!

Here is some footage of our activities.
