We have 'news' two times each week. Children are able to bring something from home to share or tell about something exciting.
As a class, we are learning to be great listeners as others share their news. We show that we are great listeners by...
- sitting still
- being quiet
- looking at the speaker
- waiting for our turn to speak
- asking a question at the end

"Here is a special game from China called Mahjong.
It is a bit like a card game where you have to collect sets."

ReplyDeleteI love seeing your pictures and reading about what you are learning! I took my son to Karate in the weekend - his karate uniform looks just like the judo uniform in your photo! One of my family's favourite games is Mah Jong - we used to play it a lot in our house when I was growing up.
I miss visiting Weka class and seeing all your smiling, happy faces - but I love reading your blog and seeing all your smiling happy faces there!
